My Faith and God’s Grace

My Faith and God’s Grace

Our family was poor, so I was unable to receive a proper education. After graduating from elementary school, I went up to Seoul, where my third eldest brother was, and enrolled in Seonghwa Vocational School in Yongsan. However, my studies were interrupted when the Korean War broke out, and I had to flee. At that time, we evacuated to a small village near Namhansanseong, and as the war neared its end, we returned to our rural hometown. It was around this time that I enlisted in the military.

During the Korean War, I served as a frontline combat soldier. Our country was completely unprepared for war when it broke out. We fought on the frontlines, advancing from Geumhwa (Cheorwon). At one point, after going without food for several days, I collapsed in a forested field while advancing. Fortunately, UN forces coming from the second line found me and transported me on a liaison aircraft to Daegu, where I was discharged from service.

After being discharged, I returned to our old home in Seoul, only to find that others were living there. When I asked them to vacate the house, claiming it was ours, they demanded proof of ownership. However, at that time, not only we but also people across the country had lost their property records, including house and farmland deeds, due to the war. With no way to prove ownership, we ultimately lost both of our houses. This was the political and legal reality of the time.

After my discharge from the war, I returned to my rural home and worked as a farmer. Grateful to have survived the deadly frontlines, I would look up at the sky and offer prayers of gratitude to God every evening before bed. Then, one night, while praying, an incredibly bright light, brighter than daylight, shone upon me. Startled, I rushed to wake my father, who was sleeping in a small field hut, and showed him the light. He, too, saw it and was astonished. He said that in the past, when a remarkable figure appeared, a brilliant light would also appear, and that this was a sign that a great person was emerging in our nation. Guided by this light, I made a blood covenant with God and began my faith journey. This was the beginning of my faith.

Later, I was chosen by God and Jesus (Rev 1). What I learned from God and Jesus was primarily the Book of Revelation. Today, Jesus has opened and fulfilled the sealed scroll of Revelation. He gave me the opened book to eat, and with it, I created the Shincheonji saints according to the words of this book. I continually had the saints verify, "Who am I according to the prophecies of the New Testament’s Revelation? Have I been created according to the book of Revelation?" To ensure this, I frequently had them take exams centered on Revelation. "Saints, do not be false in your faith. God is not deceived."

Furthermore, Jesus who gave me the opened book also revealed the realities of the Book of Revelation—the fulfillment of everything from chapter 1 to chapter 22 (Rev 22:8). After showing me all these things, He commanded me to go and testify to the churches (Rev 22:16). I have diligently testified to what I have seen and heard, fulfilling my mission.

As guided by the great light, I have sworn before God to fulfill my duty of testifying to the prophecies and their fulfillment in Revelation. Until the day when Revelation is completely fulfilled and accomplished, I will remain faithful to God. This is my promised faith and my way of repaying God’s grace.

The Prophecies and Physical Fulfillment of Revelation

The Prophecies and Physical Fulfillment of Revelation Although the book of Revelation was written approximately 2,000 years ago, no one in heaven or on earth knew its true meaning. Instead, the world has been filled with false shepherds who testify lies from their own imagination. Why has the true meaning of Revelation remained unknown? The reason is that God sealed the book with seven seals and kept it hidden. However, today, Jesus took the sealed book, opened all seven seals, and fulfilled all its prophecies. He then gave the opened book to one person (the promised shepherd) to eat (Revelation 10), showing him the fulfillment of its prophecies and commanding him to testify what he has seen and heard to the churches (Revelation 22:8, 16). As instructed, the shepherd who witnessed all the events recorded in Revelation is now proclaiming both the revealed word and the physical fulfillment that he saw and heard to the churches as stated in Revelation 10:11 "You must prophesy again a...
