How Is Christianity in the Time of Jesus’ First Coming Different From Christianity Today?

At the time of the first coming, Jesus and His disciples worked for the salvation of humanity and for the preaching of the gospel of heaven, but they were killed by their own people—the Israelites—(martyrdom). Yet today’s Christianity has become a religion that prioritizes authority and money over the salvation of souls, and has divided into many denominations. Therefore, if one is a Christian who desires true faith, one must look back on this reality through the Bible, repent, and open a path for dialogue so that Christianity may become united. Since there is one God and one Bible, should not Christianity also become one?

According to Rv 6, the sun, moon, and stars (symbols of the Israelite people) were said to have fallen from heaven to earth. This means that they were unable to enter heaven and all returned to the flesh. After the events of Rv 6, God’s new nation and new people were created from those who were sealed with God’s word in Rv 7. From this, one can see that the first heaven and first earth—the former heaven, that is, traditional Christianity—became corrupt and were judged, and that thereafter the new heaven and new earth (Shincheonji) were re-created (Rv 7). This is the new nation fulfilled exactly as promised in Revelation (Rv 7).

If so, whose responsibility is it that traditional Christianity became corrupt and was judged? Is it not the responsibility of the pastors?

As seen in Rv 22, it was said that if one adds to or subtracts from Revelation, he will not enter heaven and will receive curses (plagues) (Rv 22:18–19). Then, in order to enter heaven, should one not master Revelation without adding to it or taking away from it? In Shincheonji, there is the promised pastor chosen by God and Jesus, and when Jesus fulfilled Revelation, He showed everything to this pastor. Thus, Shincheonji masters not only the true meaning of the prophecies of Revelation but also the fulfilled realities. Have not the pastors of the traditional churches, theologians, and their congregation members added to and subtracted from the New Covenant Revelation? Every one of them has done so. What qualification do such people have to call anyone ‘heretical’? Yet those who added to and subtracted from Revelation continually persecute Shincheonji, calling it ‘heresy.’ This world (the Christian world) is truly in chaos.

In the old days, at the time of Jesus’ first coming, the pastors in Jerusalem persecuted Jesus—the pastor (Savior) promised in the Old Testament—calling Him a “heretic, heretic.” In the same way today, the pastors of traditional churches are also calling the promised pastor (Savior) in the New Testament a “heretic, heretic” and are persecuting him. This is likely because the same devil god that was with those who persecuted Him at the time of the first coming is with them as well.

Shincheonji has repeatedly proposed to Protestant and Catholic churches that they take a public Bible test based on Revelation to distinguish between heresy and orthodoxy before the people. However, not a single person has agreed to it so far. This seems to be because they are ignorant of the New Covenant Revelation and they cannot win. Therefore, Shincheonji has overcome the world with the truth (the revealed Word).

At the time of the first coming, the true faith of Christianity was to believe in the fulfilled realities of the Old Testament and its revealed word. Likewise, today—at the time of the Second Coming—the true faith of Christianity is to believe in the fulfilled realities of the New Covenant Revelation and its revealed word. For Christians who hope for heaven and eternal life, instead of continually persecuting others by calling them “heretics,” I hope they will come to Shincheonji, learn and master Revelation, and thereby attain their hope.
