[2025-10-01] The consequences for those who add to or take away from the Book of Revelation in the New Testament
The consequences for those who add to or take away from the Book of Revelation in the New Testament
It is written in Rv 22 that those who add to or take away from the Book of Revelation will not enter the kingdom of heaven and will receive a curse (plagues). Have doctors in theology and pastors not added to or taken away from this book, Revelation?
At the time of Jesus' First Coming, the pastors of Jerusalem did not believe in Jesus, who came as the Savior according to the promises in the Old Testament, nor in the words testifying to him. Protestant pastors today also did not believe when the promised pastor of the New Testament testified that Revelation in the New Testament had been fulfilled. When they heard of the actual entities of Revelation and the evidence of the revealed words, they said ‘Amen,’ but when they returned, they did not believe. Why did they not believe? It is likely because if they believe in the revealed words of the New Testament testified by Shincheonji, rather than believing in the doctrine of their own denomination, they may lose their positions as pastors in their own denomination. Therefore, such a pastor is not one who believes in God's word, but one who believes in the worldly words of his own denomination. Such a person is one who adds to or takes away from Revelation in the New Testament. As a result, he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. This is no different from the false pastors at the First Coming who heard the testimony of Jesus (the revealed words fulfilling the Old Testament) yet still did not believe.
Protestant pastors today have attacked Shincheonji intensely, labeling it a “cult,” to prevent their own congregations from joining. They did so because they feared the testimony of Shincheonji would expose their own false teachings. Yet, their congregations believe in the revealed words Shincheonji testifies to because they are the truth.
So today, to distinguish true orthodoxy from true heresy, Shincheonji has repeatedly proposed to Protestant and Catholic pastors: “Let us take a public exam, based on the words of Revelation (Rv 22) that say, ‘if you add to or take away from Revelation, you cannot enter heaven and will be cursed.’” Yet not a single one has responded. Like barking dogs at anyone they see, they have only shouted “You are heresy! Heresy!” at Shincheonji, but no one has accepted the proposal for a public Bible exam. If they are confident, they should proudly accept Shincheonji's proposed 100-question exam on the Book of Revelation.
Rv 22 states that adding to or subtracting from the Book of Revelation will keep one from heaven and bring a curse. At the time of judgment, people will be judged by the words of this book (Refer to Jn 12:48 and Rv 20:12-13). Those who add to or subtract from Revelation will not be saved from judgment. Have you not added to or subtracted from Revelation? Reflect yourselves in the light of the New Testament and verify.
At the fulfillment of Revelation, the consequences for those who add to or take away from it and for those who master it will be hell and heaven (Refer to Rv 22:18-19 and Rv 20). Even now, you must repent, listen to and understand the revealed words of Shincheonji, and keep the promised words of the Book of Revelation in the New Testament, so that you may enter the kingdom of heaven. Amen.
