[25-09-10] Those Who Do Not Believe in or Add to and Subtract From The Book of Revelation Will Face Hell(Rv 22:18-19)
1. I Was Born in a Poor Rural Family
Jesus, who grew up in the village of Nazareth, a poor neighborhood, came as the Savior(the Messiah). He received and ‘ate’ the scroll of the unfolded Old Testament and came to Israel to preach it(see Mt 1, Ez 3, Mt 15:24), yet the people did not believe Him, calling Him a heretic and a devil, and ultimately killed Him.
Similarly, during the time of fulfillment of New Testament Revelation, the promised pastor, new John, received the scroll in Rv 10 and came to deliver to the churches what he had seen and heard(Rv 22:8, 16). However, the pastors and believers of both the Catholic and Protestant churches did not believe him and, like in Rv 11, killed him(spiritually killed). Yet, just as Jesus rose again at his first coming(see Mt 28), new John also rose again at Jesus’ second coming(Rv 11:11-12).
Just as Jesus was born in the impoverished village of Nazareth, the promised pastor today was born into a poor rural family and did not have the opportunity to properly study worldly knowledge. My father, having twelve children (eleven sons and one daughter), had no house, land, or farm. Poverty compounded poverty, and the suffering and persecution were unbearable. My father sent the children to work at a friend’s house to earn meals and survive. I, too, as an elementary school student, worked at someone else’s house for two years in exchange for food. Like Jesus of Nazareth, the path I walked was truly difficult.
2. How I Came to Faith
I was a top student in elementary school but could not continue my studies due to poverty. After graduation, I went to Seoul to stay with my older brother, working during the day and attending evening classes in a private academy. Then the Korean War broke out, and I became a refugee, once again working as a hired laborer in someone else’s house. Soon after, I participated in the war. I often wondered: why must life be so hard? Heaven, speak to me! As the saying goes, “Hardship in youth is worth buying.”
After surviving the frontlines of the Korean War, I returned to my hometown and farmed for a living. Having returned alive from the front lines, I offered prayers of thanks to God every evening. During this period, I encountered a great light for three consecutive nights, which led me to faith.
3. I, Who Have Mastered The Book of Revelation
Although the Book of Revelation in the New Testament was written nearly 2,000 years ago, no one in this world truly understood the prophecies or their realities. But Jesus chose me(see Rv 1) and showed me all the actual events of Revelation(Rv 22:8), explaining their meaning, and allowed me to eat the opened scroll of the Book of Revelation as in Rv 10. Through this, I mastered the Book of Revelation. Since Jesus told me to go and convey to the churches what I have seen and heard(Rv 22:16), I have delivered it as instructed. I have only passed on what I saw and heard—the words of revelation and their realities. Therefore, what I have delivered is true and certain.
Today’s believers have almost no knowledge of the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments. Even though I have witnessed and shared the realities fulfilled according to the Book of Revelation in the New Testament, people largely ignored them. As seen in Rv 22, God and Jesus commanded that the words of this book must not be added to and subtracted from. However, the Christian world of today has all alike, added to and taken away from the Book of Revelation. When this Book of Revelation is fulfilled, it happens exactly according to its written prophecies. Today, I have seen and heard these fulfillments and have preached them, yet no one believed. Yet, because I had seen and heard them, I believed, and the revealed realities were truly wondrous to me."
It is said that whoever adds to and subtracts from this book of Revelation will not enter heaven and will be under a curse(Rv 22:18-19). Did Christians not add to and subtract from the Book of Revelation? In fact, Christians all over the world have added to and subtracted from it. Today, I have seen and heard Jesus fulfilling everything according to this book of Revelation, and I conveyed the words of revelation and their realities, yet people did not believe. When Jesus came the first time and fulfilled the realities of the Old Testament, he conveyed them to Israel, but no one believed. Likewise, it has been the same in our days."
Yet, Jesus said that in the present day, at his second coming, there will be great tribulation due to unbelief(Lk 17), and Rv 6–7 and 14 also declare that great tribulation will occur because of unbelief. Therefore, the first-coming Jesus said that the events at his second coming would be like those in the days of Noah and Lot (Mt 24:37-39, Lk 17:26-30). Just as the people of Noah’s time did not believe when Noah warned of the great flood while building the ark on the mountain, today too, after God and Jesus have judged a corrupt generation(Rv 6, 13), even when they prepare a refuge like Noah’s ark on the mountain (Mount Zion)—the place of salvation (Shincheonji 12tribes) (see Rv 7, 14)—people do not believe. Even though almost all of the Revelation that cannot be added to and subtracted from has been fulfilled today, people still do not believe. What, then, will be the outcome? The answer is in Rv 22:18-19. It is said that anyone who adds to or takes away from this book of Revelation will not enter heaven and will be under a curse. Have people not added to or subtracted from it? From what I have seen, the pastors and congregations of both the Catholic and Protestant churches in this world have all added to and subtracted from the New Testament Revelation. Those who have added to and subtracted from it will, according to Rv 22, be unable to enter heaven and will receive the curse."
