Seismic Shift in Religious Circles... Sharp Increase in Pastors Seeking to Verify Shincheonji's Teachings
- "Came to verify directly" - 500 pastors flock to Shincheonji's Word Seminar
- Requests for follow-up education continue... Pastors at the scene express deep admiration for lectures revealing the Book of Revelation
- Voices of self-reflection emerge: "Before labeling as heresy, we must verify the teachings"
Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (Chairman Lee Man-hee, hereinafter Shincheonji Church of Jesus) successfully hosted the "Testimony on the Fulfilled Realities of Revelation, Shincheonji’s Bible Seminar” on the 17th at Shincheonji Peace Institute in Cheongpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. The event, originally planned for 200 participants, had to be moved outdoors after approximately 500 pastors registered to attend. This signals a growing movement within religious circles to verify Shincheonji's teachings firsthand, even among pastors who previously held preconceptions about it being a "heretical group."
This year's second seminar was organized in response to voluntary requests for follow-up lectures after the previous gathering in Cheongju, Chungbuk in January, which drew over 700 pastors and created significant resonance. The atmosphere at the venue was notably earnest, with participants displaying a thirst for scripture and seeking practical answers regarding the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation.
On this day, Chairman Lee Man-hee testified in detail before the pastors about the circumstances that led him to begin his faith journey, how he came to preach this gospel after witnessing the fulfillment of the Book of Revelation despite never having received formal theological education, and the prophecies of Revelation and their fulfilled realities.
Chairman Lee emphasized, "Everyone wants to go to heaven and have eternal life, but it is written that if anyone adds to or takes away from the Book of Revelation, they cannot enter heaven and will receive curses (Rev 22:18-19). Shouldn't we resolve this issue?" He further stressed, "What I want to convey is the reality of the prophecies recorded from Revelation chapter 1 to 22, that is, to testify to what I have seen."
He also urged, "Let's abandon prideful thoughts and think rationally. We must be honest with ourselves. Above all, one must have confidence in entering heaven." He continued, "The established churches curse Shincheonji and call it heretical, but does belonging to an established denomination make one orthodox? Jesus didn't belong to any denomination of his time. One must know (the Bible) with certainty. If there is anything wrong in what I've said, please let me know," requesting open verification from the pastors.
Chairman Lee then spent an hour and a half testifying to the entirety of Revelation, explaining without pause the prophecies from chapters 1 through 22 and their physical fulfillment.
Most pastors who attended the event expressed admiration for Chairman Lee, who, despite lacking formal theological education, testified to the entire Book of Revelation without opening the Bible. Many requested follow-up education.
One pastor remarked, "I had goosebumps throughout the entire sermon. I want to personally verify if these teachings truly align with the Bible," adding, "For the salvation of the congregation, it is my responsibility as a pastor to first confirm the truth."
Another pastor confessed, "I've been in ministry for decades, but I was greatly shocked to see how passages I never understood were explained in a logical manner," and admitted, "I even feared that perhaps I have been spiritually blind all this time."
A pastor who had previously labeled Shincheonji (Church of Jesus) as "heretical" stated, "After verifying directly, I found that was not the case," and added, "We must properly examine whether the teachings about the fulfillment of Revelation that Shincheonji (Church of Jesus) delivers align with the Bible, and if they do, we should acknowledge it." He continued, "If not pastors, then who will verify? We must not repeat the mistake of judging God's work as 'heretical' as was done during the First Coming."
As more pastors seek to personally verify Shincheonji Church of Jesus's teachings, a new shift in perception that transcends existing prejudices is spreading within religious circles.
A representative from Shincheonji Church of Jesus revealed, "To date, 858 domestic churches have signed MOUs for Word exchange, and among them, 100 churches have put up Shincheonji Church of Jesus signboards on their own buildings," adding, "The religious community is rapidly changing."
Additionally, Revelation seminars and Word Seminar videos uploaded to Shincheonji's official YouTube channel have surpassed 100 million cumulative views, demonstrating that beyond mere interest, there is a spreading fervor for biblical exploration.
In closing, Chairman Lee emphasized, "Until now, none of Jesus's promises have gone unfulfilled. The events of Revelation are likewise promised by Jesus," and reiterated, "Let us unite in faith within the Bible and become God's family. Let us fulfill the mission entrusted to us and become one in God."
Shincheonji Church of Jesus anticipates that "Following this seminar, requests for regional follow-up education and scriptural exchanges will become even more active," and projects that "2025 will be the foundational year of substantial change in the Korean religious community."
Believers from the Catholic and Protestant faiths are eagerly flocking to Shincheonji to learn the Book of Revelation. #ShincheonjiChurch
