[25-09-11] The Way to Heaven is Narrow and Difficult
In Mt 7, it is written that the way to heaven is a narrow and difficult path. Jesus said that only those who do the will of God can enter the kingdom of heaven (Mt 7:21), and He said that the time of His second coming would be like the days of Noah and Lot (Mt 24:37–39; Lk 17:26–30). Do you know what the days of Noah and Lot were like?
In the New Testament, Revelation repeatedly says to “overcome” (Rv 2, 3, 6, 12, 13, etc.). The events of Revelation are described as a war between God and the devil, with constant battles taking place. Even at the First Coming, Jesus, the twelve apostles, and His disciples were all martyred. Rv 20 also records the spirits of those who were martyred. This shows us that the road to heaven is truly narrow and difficult. Just as Jesus and His disciples walked the path of martyrdom, today we also walk this same narrow and difficult path to heaven.
The events of Revelation are a series of wars and the work of re-creation. From Revelation 2–3, the battle began between those belonging to God and those belonging to the devil (the enemy). Have you ever fought against the devil’s group? Have you seen the battlefield and the adversaries? At the First Coming, as promised in the Old Testament, Jesus came and fulfilled the words of promise, yet Israel did not recognize Him and even killed Him, calling Him the devil. What about today? According to Revelation, Shincheonji has been created, yet the pastors of the traditional churches (Catholic and Protestant) persecute it, calling it heresy and the devil, just as they did at the First Coming. But Catholicism and Protestantism are ignorant of the Scriptures and have added to and taken away from Revelation. For this reason, Shincheonji has repeatedly proposed a public test of 100 questions based on Revelation to both Catholics and Protestants in order to determine who is heresy and who is orthodox, but not a single one has accepted to this day. Catholicism and Protestantism have practiced their faith outside of the Bible, but Shincheonji has practiced within the Bible. Thus, Catholics and Protestants have added and taken away from Revelation, while Shincheonji has mastered it. Therefore, Shincheonji has overcome with the truth—the word of Revelation.
In Revelation 22, it is written that if anyone adds to or takes away from the words of this book, they will not enter heaven but will receive curses (disasters). Yet Catholicism and Protestantism have all added to and taken away from Revelation. With what face, then, can they look at their congregations? They are like spiritual blind men, with eyes and hearts closed.
The way to heaven is narrow and difficult. Those who hope for heaven must fight and overcome their enemies, be re-created according to Revelation, and master Revelation. With patience and endurance, let us walk the narrow and difficult path so that we may reach the heaven we hope for. Amen.
