[2026-02-27] Summary of the Prophecies of the Entire Book of Revelation (Rev 1:1–8)



The Book of Revelation is a prophecy that was written by the apostle John, a disciple of Jesus, after receiving the revelation of Jesus while exiled on the island of Patmos.


The entire Book of Revelation consists of 22 chapters, from chapter 1 to chapter 22. Among them, Rev 1:1–8 summarizes the core message and conclusion after John saw and heard the events of the whole book. The actual events begin from Rev1:9.


● Summary of the Prophecies of the Entire Book of Revelation (Rev 1:1–8)


Rev 1:1 explains the order of how revelation was delivered. God, to how His servants what must soon take place—the entire events of Revelation—gave the scroll sealed with seven seals, which was in His right hand, to Jesus (Rev 5). Jesus opened the scroll by breaking the seven seals (Rev 6, 8) and gave it to an angel. The angel then gave the scroll to John (at the time of fulfillment, the “new John”) to eat (Rev 10). John then delivers the contents of the scroll he received to the servants. These servants are the 144,000 from the twelve tribes who are sealed, as well as the great multitude in white who have been washed in the blood of Jesus (Rev 7).


In Rev 1:2, John testified to the churches about God’s word—that is, the words of the scroll he ate—and the testimony of Jesus, meaning the entire events of Revelation that he saw and heard from Jesus (Rev 22:8, 16).


Rev 1:3 states that among those who hear the words delivered by John (the one who reads), those who keep what is written in it are blessed. 


Rev 1:4 says that John sends a letter to the seven churches in Asia (the seven golden lampstands) (Rev 2–3).


Rev 1:5–6 states that Jesus purchased people with His blood, freeing them from sin, and made them to be priests in God’s kingdom.


Rev 1:7 says that Jesus comes with the clouds, meaning that He comes as an invisible spirit (in spiritual form).


Reve 1:8 refers to God as the Alpha and the Omega, meaning that the God who made the prophecy will fulfill it completely, and when Revelation is fulfilled, God will come to dwell on this earth.

Most of the words in this book are written in parables and figurative language. Although it has been about 2,000 years since this book was written, not a single pastor on earth understood its true meaning. However, today Jesus has returned and fulfilled the New Testament Book of Revelation. He has shown all the realities (actual entities) of the events of Revelation to the pastor He chose (the promised pastor) and commanded him to testify to the churches (Rev 22:8, 16). In Rev 22, it is warned that anyone who adds to or subtracts from the words of this book will not enter heaven but will receive plagues. Have the pastors on earth not added to or subtracted from Revelation? They all have.


At Jesus’ first coming, Jesus—who was with God—was called a heretic and devil. By whom? By the pastors of Jerusalem at that time. God fulfilled the Old Testament through Jesus. Those who called Jesus and the word He testified about heresy—were they belonging to God or to the devil? They belonged to the devil (see Mt 23).


Is it not the same today? If the promised pastor, who has seen and heard all the realities of Revelation fulfilled at the second coming of Jesus’, testifies to the true meaning and reality of this book, will he not again be called a heretic as in the time of the first coming? The ignorant pastors of traditional churches, who do not understand the New Testament Revelation, have persecuted the promised pastor and his testimony as heresy. This ignorance is something even a dog would not accept. Yet foolish believers say “Amen, Amen” to the lies and false testimony of ignorant idol-like (false) pastors. The Christian world has truly become the upside-down world.


Today, as members of traditional churches flock to Shincheonji to hear the revealed word, church pastors have labeled Shincheonji a heresy to stop them. Is their claim of heresy the truth, or is the Word of Scripture the truth? Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the place persecuting those who belong to God is the truth.


Therefore, Shincheonji has repeatedly proposed to Protestant and Catholic churches that they publicly take an exam of 100 questions based on the New Testament Book of Revelation to distinguish heresy from orthodoxy. Yet not a single person has responded. This is because they are ignorant of Revelation and lack confidence to win. Thus, Shincheonji has overcame Protestantism and Catholicism through the truth (the revealed word). If they are confident, let them take the 100-question public exam on the Revelation, the New Testament. Let us distinguish who is heretical and who is orthodox according to the Bible.


Shincheonji has mastered not only the true meaning of the New Testament Book of Revelation (prophecy) but also its fulfillment (reality). Amen.
